Social balance

Social balance is the system’s difference of potentials ratio to its capacity. Lack of energy leads to social stagnation. Excess leads to a "trial", the social structure destroy.

The modern world is a multisystem and includes individual social systems formed on different grounds (nationality, religion, corporate affiliation, and so on.) and multiple levels in which the Earth is a system of the highest level.

At the same time one social unit (subjectivity) and / or the system can simultaneously be a different social associations’ part.

Ideally, in my opinion, it is a social system (regardless of its size and the investment in other systems degree) in which each subjectivity (the individual or the system of lower level) has the opportunity during its life cycle to go from minimum to maximum system’s social energy level.

The driving force is formed by social differences of potential deterrent the resistance of society. Moreover, if the resistance is too large, it leads to the society’s crystallization, stagnation and / or to a “breakdown”, the social structure destruction and the society transition to a social “plasma” (revolution) state.

I think that the best energy balance in which the difference of potential is sufficiently high and the resistance of the social system is quite low, so that within the system there is a “social flow” that does not lead to its destruction.

In such a society different scales (vectors) are used to measure social success:  “creativity”, “novelty”, “awareness” and so on.

 

Modern society can be represented as n-dimensional nesting dolls with one person as a basic element – the individual, and the dimension is the various grounds for its social manifestations.

An individual can enter into social systems on different levels and formed on different grounds, occupy different positions with different levels of social energy (in hierarchical systems – significance level in the system).

For example: John Smith is corporation YYY’s employee, citizen of XXX, president of the World Society for the Platypus Protection, scientific fellow, master of 45 level in the ZZZ game…

Naturally, each of these systems has its own coordinate system and social energy of individual scale. Hence, the same individual can be in one system more significant than in another. The individual’s “weight” ratio in different systems depends on the coherence of the systems themselves.

Elegant example

An employee of the corporation and a citizen of the country are quite interconnected systems (yet). But the online game player and scientific fellow are a little interconnected (yet). Therefore, the corporation’s employee “weight” is more important in the social system “country” and the scientific fellow “weight” in “online game” social system is almost absent.

The individual’s driving force within each social system in where it is present is the desire to increase town energy level (greed) which counteracts the “system’s resistance” (avarice). Thus the individual himself determines the degree of importance of each of the systems in which he or she is present (“projected focus”). And his or her actions, actions in each of the systems form general “reputational spectrum” and reputational capital for anyone within these systems.

These subjects’ individual manifestations form general “reputational range” and the “reputational capital” of the whole system with respect to other systems (“reputation hologram” principle).

In other words, a higher level of nesting social systems interact as a meta-individuality and create a higher level system with its difference of potentials, reputational interactions and so on.

For example, the energy amount of all the “business” in the country is involved in the formation of its overall energetic and weight (for example, in the UN system and the WTO). And the international country’s weight affects the personal business (or individual citizen) weight relating (in whole or partly) to the country itself.

In evaluating inter-system interaction is important to understand the nesting of social systems degree and the correspondence (conversion) of the social scale degree. It is understood that the various social systems can be fully or partially included in a larger level system. Naturally, at the same time they form the next level of social differences of potentials. This does not exclude the possibility that individual reaches the whole social system’s energy level.

Balanced social system (of any level) allows its members (individually and meta-individuality) to convert its potential energy into kinetic energy, and vice versa (in the language of physics – to do the work). However, often there are situations when the system’s resistance decreases (or stops) the movement inside it, which leads to an increase in social differences of potentials. When it reaches a critical level, there is a system’s “breakdown” and it again becomes dynamic, and conversion capacity in the motion becomes maximum. This usually destroys the system’s structure. At the same time numerous of “thermal” energy released and formed “revolution.” Restoration (growth) of system’s potential energy usually occurs by increasing the number of its participants. At the global level this is the planet Earth’s population growth. However, I guess that there are other ways to increment the potential energy of social systems.

In social systems’ description important parameters are:

  • coordinate system – a measuring weight scale for the participants;
  • total system’s energy – the energies sum of its participants;
  • social difference of potentials – system’s boundary energy performance;
  • innovation coefficient – the energy conversion rate from the rest energy to kinetic energy;
  • the system indicator’s entropy – “the degree of difference” in the system.

 

In describing the interaction the important parameters are:

  • system’s nesting index;
  •  evaluation scales degree for weighting system correspondence;
  • difference in potential between the systems (for each of the weight scales).

Some of these parameters already exist and used and other need to be created.
